Day Six of Scrap: Jane turns 2

Hey again!!

Feeling like Cheryl today and getting this done after bed time! I can see this happening tomorrow night too but I already have a plan to do the scrapbooksteals mid week mojo so perhaps it will get done sooner than later.

You can always tell when I came up with my own inspriration for a layout.  My brain goes a mile a minute and the layout becomes a giant piece of chaos guided by no sketch or plan.  I can say that when I started scrapbooking it was all about the journalling for me - Jane would always know my memories of when she entered this world.  So, I scrapbooked milestone after milestone.  At first it was mthly (Ex. you rolled over, first tooth, etc) and now its every 6 mths. So, its no different that at 2 years old, I would want to capture milestones - just this time it was more about capturing her personality.  To be honest, I did this layout 1 month after her birthday (25 months) and already a lot has changed!!!

So here's what my layout came out like! Its not the best picture so maybe I'll do another one tomorrow in the natural light.
Materials used... Studio sticky back natural canvas, Lilybee Buttercup Rain paper, Fancypants School year paper, Graphic 45 An ABC Primer Collection Garmmar School (background paper), Ac thickers and Stampin Up chipboard (Loads of Letters) used as a mask with SU whisper white craft paint, SU brads, and SU buttons, as well as an old mat from an Ikea photo frame ( RANDOM!)

My brain was hoping the frayed canvas would look like a bulletin board and the SU brads would look like pins.  I accidentally came upon the 'inked' 2s. I was planning to just ink the chipboard so I did this on a separate piece of paper.  Then I loved the negative that came out so did it on the paper. You just never know what you are gonna get!

As a side note, yes, I need to redo this pic tomorrow. LOL.

Cheers!
Cathy
