Artisan Wednesday Wow: Pop n' Place Part 2

"Part 2?"
"Why yes. If you missed part one... you can find it here!"

When I first saw the negatives of the Pop n' Place Holiday Gift Tags booklet, I immediately was inspired to do a scrapbook page but I wasn't sure how I would execute it.
Then I got to playing.
I used many of the banner pieces from the booklet, as well as four frames. The Christmas Tagables stamp set, which is part of a bundle for this booklet, provided some great journaling for me.

Here are some things to think about when scrapbooking with limited supplies:
- Build a banner.. it always looks even better with stitching.
- Use dimension in your pages... it makes a big difference.  See below how the banners come off the page as well as the "frames" around the picture.
- Use different textures such as the Crystal Effects on the "25" stamp.
- Clustering is a must.  Don't be afraid to take several buttons, toss them on your page and glue them down where they land. FUN!!
-Finally... doodle. Make it YOU. (See my border around my page)

PS. I am sooooooooo excited for CHRISTMAS!!

Happy Thanksgiving to my American Friends! :) I'll be thinking of you and will shop online in your honor. :)

Make sure you keep hopping to see the rest of my buddies.  Cindy is up next and she is sure to blow you away!

Artisan Wednesday Wow: It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye

It all happened last night and I have the dyed fingers to prove it.
You see, I didn't know what to post today.  Instead I organized my stuff. I always organize my stuff when I don't know what to do.  And its always when I have limited time (limited time by definition is no time)... Huh?!? Go figure. I've always been like that... Cramming is more my style.

I grabbed the box of product we had to play with and started to play with the glitter and the clear glass bulbs I bought from Michaels...
And to continue my polka dot theme... my first bulb was simply Stampin' Up!'s sponge daubers dipped in mod podge and randomly placed onto the bulb. Then I took the glitter and dot by dot covered the bulb.  I laid it aside to dry.

Then my second bulb I decided to test out some of my theories again.  All I did was - using a paint brush (I like Claudine Hellmuth's brushes), I brushed mod podge on the bottom of the bulb like it was dipped. I laid that aside to dry.

And since I had a pile of mod podge in my tray not used, I ripped up some of the Winter Frost DSP and "mod-podged" the top part of the bulb... Once I was about half way down, I let it dry for a little while... to create my final bulb...

If you look to the right, you can see that this doesn't need to look perfect. Mod Podge dries clear.  I got my hands quite messy because I was getting all the air bubbles out from under each piece of paper.

Here's how it turned out:

It started out great... I had decided to re-create a bulb I made last year.  You can see it here, which includes the video of the person who showed me how to create this glitter bulb.  This time the bulb has SILVER glitter on the inside.  By using the Stampin' Up! re-inker you can turn any glitter bulb the color you wish.

Start out by putting about 75 drops of re-inker in the bulb.  Then slowly turn the bulb so that you cover all the surface area inside.
Once that is done, lay it aside for a minute to grab the glitter.  I created a really FANCY funnel out of scrap paper because I was too lazy to find my funnel... Put in as much glitter as you like.  Dump out any access.  If there's not enough add more.
Oh and the finished product was sooooooo beautiful...
until I decided to add rhinestones....

"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye..."

Trajedy struck!! Kazaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam.
And that's when my masterpiece fell to a certain death. It was quite sad.

But I pulled up my socks. This time I was more careful...
TA-DA!!

And here's all four but its really not a great picture!
Alright, that was fun... I can't wait to see you again... but I still have no idea what I am doing... HAHAHHAHAHAH.

Artisan Wednesday Wow: Remember the Moment

Ahhhh, I had fun with this one!! And its near and dear to all of our hearts on the Artisan Blog Hop.

We shall Remember this Moment.
See those polka dots... well, that's actually molding cream (you can get this at your local craft store) mixed with Stampin' Up! glitter.  It gives such a great effect and with the new stencils that SU has, I just can't give enough.

Here's a closer look... ahh... do you recognize those words letters? That's the freebie digital download SU gave away last week called Moments Ago... I whipped that into my E-Cutter with gold foil... LOVE IT.
But don't stop here - check out Cindy's amazing projects!!
