Thank You Bibi | #tgifc96

This week on the TGIF Challenge Blog is a designer inspiration challenge.  Bibi is a beautiful artist that makes her projects come alive.  She often uses floral images and techniques. I created this card that showcased her style but remained within my own style.

To create this card, I heat embossed the stamped images onto watercolour paper.  I used an aqua painter with Stampin' Write markers in order to colour these images. The colours used were old olive, crushed curry and watermelon wonder. You can also see that smoky slate was used to lift the sentiment off the page.

With that said, I want to send a huge thank you to Bibi as she has now left our TGIF and Stampin' Up! families to pursue other opportunities.  Thanks for the inspiration Bibi - we will continue to watch you grow.

Make sure to play along with this challenge this week!

a pop of pink | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

This month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop is all about pink. Now when I think about pink, I think about Erica from Pink Buckaroo Designs. She's always rocking bright colours. I am quite the opposite - I rarely use pink in my designs so this challenge could have been a tough challenge.

Almost as tough as finding a hot pink shirt that I have been searching high and low all over the country for. It seems this design will remain in my head until I make it myself.

I started out by grabbing some of pink cardstock but I was quick to notice the Pop of Pink Speciality Design Series Paper.

As many of you know I water colour and die cut in bulk. This card is a great example of how a project came together quickly because I was able to layer pieces together quickly.

#adttipsandtricks:  I watercolour using Stampin' Write markers and an aqua painter.  But I always make sure to ground the images by creating a halo resembling the floor or a shadow.

Next up is Krista Frattin.  She's a favourite Stampin' Up! designer of mine so I have no doubt you'll be in love with whatever pink-a-licious project she makes.

That's One Tasty Truck! | Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team SAB Blog Hop

In today's blog hop, the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team are showcasing all the amazing products that you can get during the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion. The deal is that when you spend $60 Cdn ($50 USD) you get to choose one of many products from an exclusive mini catalog.

Tasty Trucks is one of the products that you can choose as your free product.  You can also choose the metallic ribbon or the Carried Away Designer Paper that are also shown on my card.

Like most days when I am tasked with using a specific product, I sit down and play.

Play, I did with my aqua painters and Stampin' Write markers.

Of course... I would often finish my card here as clean and simple turns my crank..

But it was nice to finish the card with some embellishments and more colour.

With my additional pieces, I created this card on crumb cake. The images were water coloured and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

I created one more card as part of the TGIF Design Team colour challenge this week. Make sure to check out that post so you can playing along with our challenge!

And before I forget... you saw that I like to play.  Often I stamp way too many images so I save those stamped images and place them inside clear plastic envelopes inside the stamp sets.  I do the same thing with die cuts.  I cut a ton and then put them in clear plastic envelopes and place them inside the storage envelopes.

The truth is... I love this stamp set.
I love playing with it and there's so many more cute images and sentiments.
Its a delicious stamp set so make sure you get yours.

For now, hop over to my friend, Dani's blog to see what cute projects she created today!
