Fancy Friday | Machine Stitching

Greetings from Florida!

It's another Fancy Friday
(we do one each month featuring the 2013-14 past Stampin' Up! artisans)
This time we are featuring a technique that you can try.
My technique isn't difficult or mind blowing but its one that some people are resistent to try.
Once you do, you'll never go back.

For this technique, I have been making banners like a crazy person in my neck of the woods. And I seem to be stitching through the ribbon to create many of those projects.  I have also been scrapbooking.. of course, machine stitching is my favorite adhesive.
Quick with no mess.

For this banner, I used the Typeset Designer Series Paper.
That paper is amazing.
But for this project it was too thin so I had to back it with some cardstock.  I also distressed the outside.

Once I did that I cut ovals using the Oval Framelits out of some old retired paper.  Most of it is from 2014 Sale-bration! I scored one of them and used that as a guide to stitch through all 4 pieces of paper.

So easy.
Done.
Hop along to see what Cindy is doing.
Don't forget to check her out every week along with the other 2015 Artisans.
Cheers!
Cathy

My Paper Pumpkin: Love is in the Air Project #4

I am in Disneyworld. YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!

Come fined me! :)

This is a cute muslin bag that was quick to make.  To create the color and slight ombre, I used my blendabilities markers straight on the muslin.

Then I stamped the quick tag using my February My Paper Pumpkin kit. Using a clothespin I adhered the tag.  Then I grabbed the adorable baker's twine and "shredded" it.  The "hello friend" stamp is from a previous My Paper Pumpkin kit... and is one of my favs.

Before I leave you, I have one more quick project using my old kits!  I created it with intentions to give it to my husband as a plane note. (All I have to do is write the note)

This card was created for the My Paper Pumpkin blog, where you can create a project using any of your Paper Pumpkin kits with the following theme.  Link up your project and link back to the challenge blog.  You have until the end of the month!

There is a three month pre-paid subscription if you'd like to try the kits out - and they are 15% off. Not only that but you get a free sale-a-bration product for free!  Here's the link!

Take care!! See you soon!

It's a Sketchy Challenge: Canadian Scrapbooker February 2015

Every month, the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine does a Sketchy Challenge.
They release a sketch and you can use it for your inspiration.
Here is this month's sketch, created by the lovely Sue Sykes!
While at a scrapbooking retreat, we received a goodie bag.  This goodie bag composed mostly of Kelly Purkey's line with Basic Grey. That is the base kit I used for this layout.

These circles are actually stickers from an old sticker sheet I had... Yes, I am trying very very hard to bash my stash!  I have been throwing a lot on a page, these days!

Make sure you play along with the challenge.

Have a lovely day!

My Paper Pumpkin: Love is in the Air Project #3

It's simple.

I love it.

I love that heart from the My Paper Pumpkin February kit... and I love the thank you stamp from a previous kit.

Do simple.

It's lovely.

'hey, valentine... glad you're in my school'

Hi all,

It's a little late but thought I would show you my daughter's valentines!

Honestly, I will never get rid of this cute stamp set called 'hey, valentine'.

The idea was for my daughter to colour and write out the names of her classmates... but at 4, she distinctly told me that she'd rather eat the valentines... so I took that as my cue to settle in with my husband and "watch" some of "our" tv all the while colouring with the Stampin' Up! blendabilities markers.

The inside had fun dip adhered using red sticky tape.

I then closed the treats with some baker's twine.

Need the cuts & score lines?
-White cardstock is 3x4"
- Base cardstock is 8.5x4.25" strips.
- Score at 3.5" and 7.75"

The end!

Don't forget to add Crystal Effects to the eyes of those glasses.  So cute!

Have a great day!
