Follow Your Dreams | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Welcome back to our monthly Fancy Friday Blog Hop where you'll find current and past Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team members show you different ways that we inspire ourselves and each other.  This month we are doing a colour challenge based on the photo below.

Yes.
Wow.
That colour combo is wild.
But totally cool.
So I really started by looking at the photo rather than the colour splashes.
By looking at the photo I was inspired to use different textures that I would describe as Bohemian.
I used the Stampin' Up! Vintage Lace Trim as a background and then began layering from there.

Do you recognize that stamp set and die cuts?
You can find that in the Follow Your Dreams Bundle.
Pretty cool, isn't it?

If you are caught in the mess of textures here, you'll find a distressed piece of Blackberry Bliss embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing folder. Followed by several layers of stamped cardstock, die cuts and vellum. There's sequins and brads and even linen thread.

It's a whole lot of stuff that I quite like.
And let's be honest here, this is very much outside my simple style.
Soooo, this "challenge" did its job.

But don't stop here, keep hopping along to my fancy friend,
Sylwia Schreck!

a beautiful destination. | Be Inspired Blog Hop

Welcome back to our monthly Be Inspired Blog Hop!

Each month a handful of Stampin' Up! designers join together to bring you some themed inspiration. This month's theme is sympathy or get well.

This project was created using the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set. I didn't know I loved this set so much until I started using it. The sentiments are perfectly paired and you could make it work for almost any occasion.

The sentiment was stamped onto water color paper and I used the Gorgeous Grape refill ink to water colour the purple splash. I didn't stop there - I water colour the floral element in the top left as well.  This isn't perfect colouring so don't get bogged down in the details!

But don't let me be the only one to convince you of this gorgeous stamp set - check out the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team projects in this blog hop! I am so proud to be part of this team!

Thanks for dropping by.
I think you are going to love this hop so keep moving along to my Canadian friend, Carolynn Sander .

Beautiful Layers | Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team

Welcome to the September Stampin' Up! Global Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
This month we are featuring the Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set and co-ordinating Beautiful Layers Thinlet Dies.

The first thing you'll notice when you look at this project is the gorgeous paper wreath.
Well.
I hand cut the wreath out of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper
How could I not?
I know it was work but I fell in love with it.

The pairing of the sans serif font and the cursive font is absolutely stunning.
Therefore the sentiment speaks for itself.

Hope you enjoyed this easy card today!
Be sure to check out the entire Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop!
My friend, Charlet Mallett is next!

Ribbon of Courage | One Stamp AT A Time Blog Hop

Hi all,
I am so excited to have joined the One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop (OSAT) Design Team!
It's been awhile since I've been able to join this amazing crew so I am delighted to be able to bring you a project for this amazing theme.
I Need A Hero

In Canada, every Fall around this time there is a large national campaign to raise funds to beat breast cancer. In my town this event is sponsored by CIBC and is called the Run for the Cure. When I thought about this theme, I immediately thought about all the people who would be running.
And well, thirsty afterwards.

This project was easier than it looks because this Ribbon of Courage stamp set by Stampin' Up! coordinates with the matching coodinates, Support Ribbon Framelits. To create the ribbon, I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then ran it through the Big Shot... and well.. #bobsyouruncle

If you are wondering where the 'Thank You' comes from I cut it out of the Stitched Labels Stamp set. #trickytricky

I also thought about all the teams that were campaigning to raise the funds and perhaps would like to thank any donors for their donations. By creating this card, I thought it would be a perfect way to send a sincere thank you.

Thank you so much for joining me today but most of all thank you to all the fighters and supporters impacted by this terrible disease.

Love to all
Cathy

Peaceful Noel | Stamp to Share International Blog Hop

Hi all!

I am so glad to be back again this month with the International Stamp to Share Blog Hop Team. Each month we feature current products from the Stampin' Up! catalogues. This month, Stampin' Up! released their Annual Holiday Catalogue. I am sharing with you today a project I created with the Peaceful Noel Bundle.

This card also features the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper, which is a September Host promotion. You can get this paper for free with a qualified order ($300 Canadian)! I can't stop using the newspaper print paper!

What I love most about this bundle is that it comes with a punch.
I am a sucker for a good punch... :)
.. get it? Sucker punch?
Ahhhhh never mind!
Regardless, its an economical bundle that can go the distance.

To show off why this Sprig Punch is meant for all things awesome, it automatically looked like antlers to me so I just plopped those bad boys on the head of a cute elf. That sweet paper is called the Santa's Workshop Paper and should be top of your Wish List.. if you look closely you can see flocking on his hat and tassle!

"Merry Little Christmas" sans serif font is a handy dandy nugget in the Peaceful Noel stamp set. How fun to pair it with some paper that perhaps you might consider two completely different styles!

As an extra special treat, I am planning to do a short Facebook Live featuring the first project on this blog post so I hope you managed to see that before this post went live! Be sure to catch the replay on my Facebook Page at In the Cat Cave.

Thanks for dropping by today - hope you have a wonderful day! But be sure to keep hopping along to Moira before you go!

Happy Crafting,
Cathy
