My Paper Pumpkin Challenge: "Celebration" Project #5

Hey there.

This project was created for the My Pumpkin Challenge blog.
It's created using the trial kit from Paper Pumpkin in February 2013 and also from the Summer of 2013, as well as the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set.

If you like the Tap, Tap, Tap set then you need to check out my Stamps in the Mail program!!

Like Project Life? Don't know where to start? Here's how with my Project Life by Mail program.

Enjoy!

Its a Sketchy Challenge July 2014 with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine

July has been such a whirlwind for me!
I did have time to play with the Its a Sketchy challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.

All supplies are from the current Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  There are many elements of the Project Life product line and the amazing new Typeset DSP - its very thin and totally yummy... perfect for a family full of pirates!

Here's the lovely sketch!
Today is supposed to go up to 40 with the humidex here...
this is not the norm and I am sure I'll be very hot... But its better than cold!

Make sure you keep coming back for fun projects!

The Last One | AWW

It's another project life layout for my daughter's first dance recital.
I cried when I saw my daughter dragging her dance bag along the floor as I watched her walk down the hall with her teacher.
All by herself.
Not even four and about to perform while I watched.

And for the first time... I realized that she is growing up.
She's really getting independent.

I am excited but I want to keep all the memories.

I tried to explain it to my Mom, to my Husband but I think it's a Mother's thing. I couldn't explain the emotion.

So when she came on stage I felt relief that she was there.

Why am I telling you this?
Well, because I have been putting QR codes on my layouts. See my post here on Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine to see where. This means that if you scan the code, it is linked to the video of her performance.  It's a memory preserved in time that I can always cherish as long as the link is alive.

I got the idea for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. Here's a traditional layout with a code.

With all my Project Life layouts, I did the back at the same time. This is a day we spent in the garden at my grandmothers... And because I am nuts I have it all in chronological order. :)

You can see that I left the die cut out on the other side as white.  I like that you can see through it.
Also, the bottom half is largely pictures.  I just love the pictures and I could look at them all day.  I didn't think they needed any other embellishments.

Don't forget to e-cut out a bunch of die cuts like I did with the "today".

And that's the end.
My term is over as part of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Team.
I am soooo happy to have been part of the whirlwind.
And I am soooo happy you joined in every week.

Love to all!

Cone Gift Holders | SU Convention Display Boards

The gold vellum paper screams like fabulous tissue paper or that beautiful paper you see inside the folds of envelopes... and so that's where my inspiration came.

This type of gift holder can be used for so much including flowers or liquorice, etc.

hello Jack! | SU Convention Display Boards

Oh those cheeks!!!
This time I used the Seasonally Scattered stamp set as a title.  I used pool party and bermuda bay markers to colour the stamp and then stamp it on the paper.

You'll notice that I sponged pool party ink on the page over top the patterned paper with the stencils.  I still love that quiet effect.  You've seen me do this a lot and I am always drawn to the circles.  Despite my crazy manner, I usually stick to the basics.  And in my book, circles are basics.

And again, I've used the Moments Ago digital brush cut outs.  This time I sponged pool party on the white cut out.

Make Today Amazing | SU Convention Display Boards

This is a lot of gold and white.
It was fast.
I like fast.

Note: Careful - not all photo paper are created equal. I embossed this Amazing Birthday stamp directly on the photo paper.  This Canon Selphy paper is waterproof and sturdy... you still need to be careful but you've got a better chance not to melt your photo. I love the effect!

Modeling Paste + SU = Awesome Card

This was my swap card to some special people...

It's pretty awesome... up close at lease. There are several steps involved for this card... but the big thing is that it involves dimension and texture, as well as water colouring, machine sewing and resist embossing.

You can see the dimension here.

Here's the deal - Stampin' Up!'s new stencils are amazing so make sure you check them out!

It doesn't take long for that to dry but while you are letting that dry, I created the water-colour circles. This circle is from the Sweetie Pie stamp set, which is available online (not in the regular catalog).

Use the circle frame lit, to cut out your circles.

The "awesome" is once again from the Moments Ago digital brush cut out from my e-cutter.

Sew it together and your done!!
WOOHOO!

Dear Artisans | AWW

Dear Artisans,

I [heart] you. You know why.
But most importantly... there's no limit to your awesomeness and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes you.

The end.

This card is our 2013-2014 Artisan swap card and each card has a little note to them.  We've really clicked and I know we'll be friends for a long time.

Do you know anyone that is awesome?
Wanna make this card?
It's easy.

Using modelling paste (more on this on Thursday) plus re-inker, swipe that through the stencil using a palette knife or old gift card. Then slap together anything you find on your craft table.  Stitch and glue.  Yup.  Its that easy. ;)
One last project for you to share in my reign as Artisan next week!
But so many fun things to continue.  Make sure you are following me via Facebook, Bloglovin', Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter!

Now, please check out the amazing Cindy's project!
