You're My Best Mate & GIVEAWAY | AWW

It's an exciting day today!!
We are having a GIVEAWAY!!
You have 4 chances to win for all TEN Artisans!! That's a lot of chances!!
I am giving away the paper and stamp set used to create this project.
Hide Tide DSP and Hello, Sailor - although I don't sail, we live on a beautiful island on the East Coast of North America called Newfoundland, so this paper will be loved and used over and over.
(You'll have to get the gold sequin trim on your own - HA!)

PS. Did you notice that the silver glimmer paper is on the retired list... Umm... you better get it.  Free shipping now until April 25th! Hurry!!

Literally I created these by throwing things on top of the paper.  And that meant a handful of sequins.  They practically created themselves!!

Now for my giveaway details...

a Rafflecopter giveaway
But make sure you keep on hopping to Cindy because you have lots of chances to win!! And we are here every week so always drop by to see our projects!
Love to all,
Cathy

My Paper Pumpkin Challenge: Special Moments Project #3

You know, I was hitting a wall with my Artisan project from last night.

So, I decided to switch modes to the monthly My Paper Pumpkin challenge. I held up the wooden veneers and thought... "goodness, that's a nice tag".  Then I thought about why I would congratulate someone.

And five minutes later... with a tad of the gold sequin trim secured with a glitter brad... we have a cute little graduation cap!

Now why can't inspiration happen like that more often?
Make sure you join the challenge with us!! My Paper Pumpkin monthly kits are getting better and better. Check out the video below for next month's Paper Pumpkin!!

Scrapbooking Spunk. Who has it? | AWW

Welcome back to the Artisan Blog Hop!!
There's so much news!!! Project Life.  New Catalogs. And a GIVEAWAY NEXT WEEK.
Come back next week. And visit us all. Just sayin'.
I lost my scrapbooking energy... creativity... spunk.. yes. spunk.
But I am going to find it.
Do you have it?
Maybe Cindy has it...

My hair is a mess.  I was supposed to get my hair done with a nice purple ombre or just a plain ombre.. or just plain purple streaks.  And I do mean some wild purple too. It's time.  Spring is almost here.  I've got my runners strapped back on... which is probably why my hair is a mess... I can't lift my hands over my hands to tame it.

Back to the post.

Right. I made this layout.  I don't love it.  I don't really hate it but its missing something.  So, I am going to put it in my "undone" pile.  This pile will be revisited in a month time when I attend some scrapbooking retreats.

But I will tell you one thing. I love the High Tide DSP and the Hello, Sailor stamp set.   And I love this picture.  It might be one of those situations where I was saving the paper just for this picture.  And I am disappointed with myself that I can't get it just right.

Anyway.  If YOU have MY
SPUNK.

Please return it.

Please. Pretty please with whipped cream and cherries... and toss in a chocolate dipped donut on top of that. That would most definitely work for my husband. And maybe Mercedes. Yes. Mercedes.
That should do it.

Go visit Cindy next. Perhaps she is the culprit. Keep an eye out please.

Just another lazy ' Balloon Happy' day | AWW

Sometimes I am lazy.

So lazy that I refuse to reach up to get any more stamp sets or supplies... That would require me to stand up. Which would then require me to push myself from the desk and hoist upwards from my roll-y office chair..

And just so you know.  Only cool people are as lazy as me.

But I like pretty things... soooo...This week I ended up creating a series of cards using the Big Wish stamp set balloon image.  The first card looks like I watercolored... Well. I. did. not. ' No sir-ee Bob' . Too lazy for that these days. It just looks that way because of how I colored the stamp with my markers...

So... if you are lazy like me and like one layer, one dimensional, super cute, simple cards... this is for YOU!

You can thank me later.
I will say it again... add your own ' flav-a-flav' ... doodle! Did you notice... I was so lazy that I just stamped on the vellum vs find a co-ordinating die cut or punch.

Good golly, Miss Molly!! I made a mistake... I rammed that stamp too hard into the stamp pad and then onto my paper... and you can see the outline of the stamp edge... I made it part of my card.. again... I was too lazy to make a new card. I like it!

Use your markers to ink up your white bakers twine!!

Every time I see the Forest Friends stamp set, I feel the urge to add furry friends all over my cards.  Today is no exception. I once again doodled the string on the balloon.

And check out the close up of the cutie's ears... Yup, they are pearls!
Now. Keep hopping.. Cindy is definitely upping her game these days. Its so exciting to see people changing styles and getting out of their comfort zone!
Don't be too lazy... make sure you visit all 10 Artisans!

Burlap Ribbon Wreath | AWW

Its April.

And my husband just went out to snow blow the driveway because of the 35 centimeters of snow we got last night.

I am too mad to talk about it.

I made this banner with the Burlap & Blooms Simply Created Kit by tying a full roll of the Burlap Ribbon and the Summer Starfruit  Striped Ribbon.  Its super easy to do! I even watched Suits with my husband while I created it.... can you say  “two stones”...

Then I fumbled around to make a few loops and this bow.  And I tied that on.

No glue necessary.

Now you go do it!

Catherine and Cathy Create Easter Banner

I was in an Easter mood the other day - mistakenly thinking Spring was on its way.  Unfortunately another blast of winter is here!!  Yuck!

I created this for the Catherine and Cathy Create April Monthly Challenge!
We were inspired by spring cleaning and the following photo:
This banner was sewed together and made out of fabrics and Stampin Up! Bigz dies.  The background is burlap sewed together with the SU natural twine. Did you know that you can use fabric with your Bigz Dies..

To create the eggs, I used the retired Oval Bigz die!

If you look up close, the Bunny was created using two dies:
1. Autumn Accents Bigz Die - I used the small leaf die for the ears
2. Circles #2 - I used the circle dies for the body of the bunny.

My little man was very drawn to the pom pom balls, which came from the sale-a-bration item, Hearfelt Banner.  Sale-a-Bration is over now so I hope you managed to snag it!
Dont forget to join us at Catherine and Cathy Create for the three April challenges for your chance to win the Filmstrip stamp!
