Inspired by Colour | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

"Oh Happy Day.."
Am I the only one that immediately thinks about the movie, Sister Act?

Today's Fancy Friday Challenge is to play around with different colour combinations. Each current and past Stampin' Up! Artisan is bringing you a fresh new colour combination. How cool is that?

My project was created using three new colours and the stamp set "A Little Wild".

The background was created using the Stampin' Write Markers on water colour paper. Start by drawing all the stripes on the paper. Then you can go over top of the lines with an aqua painter (water brush) and the colours move perfectly!

As always, thank you so much for dropping by! Be sure to keep hopping to check out my fabulous and fancy friends projects + colour combos!

Up next is Jeanna Bohanon!!!

Inspired by Fashion | Be Inspired Blog Hop

Today's Be Inspired Challenge is actually something that I am regularly inspired by. All too often I fall in love with cute t-shirts at The Gap or patterns from Anthropologie. It doesn't stop there as I see quilts or cool fabric prints in the sewing industry.

With a quick little pinterest break, I found a pattern that I am typically drawn to.
Little stars.
They get me every time.

To get started, I grabbed some stamps that I thought would work well. I am not sure if you recognized the images from the This Little Piggy, Tabs For Everything and Balloon Celebration stamp sets.

Be sure to keep hopping to my friend, Carolynn Sander from the other side of Canada! (She's likely a lot warmer than me right on.... in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.)

Blue Striped Background | #tgifc164

I doodled some Night of Navy lines using the Stampin' Write Markers.
I did it on watercolour paper.
Then I went over it again using an Aqua Painter.

And that's how I made this blue striped background.
...With my little blue truck...
...anyone? Anyone?
It reminds me of a children's book called "The Little Blue Truck"

This project was created for the TGIF Design Team.
This week's theme is a doodling challenge.
And well...
Join in on the fun!

Kindness Changes Everything | Stampin Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Kindness Changes Everything.

I mean, I see that sentiment and I just automatically nod my head.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

How powerful is that message?

To bring this message to life, I sewed two pieces of this beautiful butterfly die together. In between the two layers I sandwiched some polka dot ribbon and metallic silver thread. Finally, I machine sewed the centre together.

Let's do our part and share our "kindess" messages.
I hope you have an amazing day!

But don't stop here, keep hopping to incredibly talented Charlet Mallet!

Varied Vases | Stamp to Share International Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Stamp to Share International Blog Hop where a group of talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators showcase one particular product from the Stampin' Up! Catalogs.

The products we are featuring this month is the Varied Vases Bundle. I've seen some amazing projects  created with this products already! And lets get serious here... everyone loves a punch!

I've created two very easy cards with a couple fun variations.

Both cards are stamped with clear embossing powder over black ink on water color paper. As always, I've water coloured the images using my Stampin' Write markers.

What helps create a little more of a wow factor is the fact that I've used the Tranquil Tides beads in the centres of the flowers. On the card below, I've added some velum to the vase to give it the effect that its glass.  Adding vellum can sometimes be tricky because you can always see the adhesive through the paper. Therefore try adhering it on the stamped portions or in a corner out of sight. Often I use a stapler to make it part of the project but this doesn't work for this card.

Thanks for hanging out with me today. Keep hopping along to my friend Monica Gale - I can't wait to see what she creates!

Little Red Truck | #tgifc163

It's been a long time since I've created a project for the TGIF Design Team.

And well.

That's because some unexpected things happened.

I call that life.

But I am realizing more and more how important it is to make sure that I take time out for me. And well, crafting is it. To get back into the swing of things, I used to always look for challenges. These days challenges find me. Sketches are always my favourite. So if you found yourself tangled up into the web of life than maybe sit down and give yourself an hour to create a project using this sketch.
