Colouring with DSP | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the October edition of the Fancy Friday blog hop!
This month's challenge is to use Designer Series Paper (DSP)!
*BLOG CANDY ALERT*
For this card, I did some paper piecing to showcase and remind you to use DSP as colour on your stamps!!  You need to stamp the DSP and then cut out the image by hand.. Yes, its a little tedious but the effect is awesome!

My Paper Pumpkin: Sweets & Treats Project #5

It's almost here!!
Halloween... I can. not. wait.

This year will be different.  It's the first year that my little family will focus on trick-or-treating rather than attending parties and visiting family.  There's gonna be bags and bags of candy.  No.  Probably not.  My little boy (2) will be immersed in what's in the bag and wanting to taste every jewel immediately. And I can't blame him...  His sister (4) believes that there's no greater gift than candy.  Let her choose from a castle, a trip around the world and a pack of skittles.  She'll pick skittles any day.

My Paper Pumpkin: Sweets & Treats Project 3

Seriously.
That kid is CUTE.

He wasn't sure about that wig.

But this was hilarious!! My oh my, how one year as passed!


This is the My Paper Pumpkin for October 2014.  It came with burlap sacks but of course, I had to cut that sucker up and create a background for this pic.  I used some stamps from past kits to stamp behind it as well as the ink pad itself.  Some machine stitching and stickers finished it off.

My Paper Pumpkin: Sweets & Treats Project 1 and 2









We ran away to Disney World!!

But now we are back!

What a time, we had...  but now its time to get back to life.  And I have to say, I am just soooo ready for Halloween!!  And in Canada, I can just taste the turkey... I cannot wait!

This month on the My Paper Pumpkin Challenge Blog we are doing Sweets and Treats.  Quite fitting, considering the September kit!

I am loving Halloween lately...
My house has been decorated since mid September!
My niece, Emma, is very impressed with the skulls and spider webs around.

Isn't that why we decorate and celebrate?
To bring happiness to those we love..
... or happiness to ourselves??


I just love that ghost... its from the Fall Fest frame lit by Stampin' Up!
