Focus on the Picture | AWW

I melt when I see this picture.

It makes me feel so lucky and happy.

That means, the focus of this page is the picture.

So how do you do that?

You need to draw the eye to the photo.  This time, I used negative space and the paper in the corners brings your eye to the centre of the page.

Bottom line is don't feel like you have to smash a ton of stuff on a page.

I used the Gold Soiree DSP, a doily (which softens it) and allowed the journalling to be a stamp.

SCRAPBOOK TIP OF THE DAY: To be lazy you need to be smart.  The title "this day" comes from the Moments Ago brush.  I cut several out in white and keep them in a little dish next to me. When I need them I just colour them with ink!!

Have a fantastic day - head to see Cindy!!!

Adventure Awaits | AWW

I didn't have a lot of time.

I meant to make a card but when I swung around in my chair, this 10x12  picture was calling my name.

Looking at the picture, immediately I thought
"adventure awaits"

So I grabbed the Project Life accessory kit and put it to work.

It's a really simple layout but it speaks volumes to me.
When I created it, I was thinking about the little girl making her way into the woods on an adventure.

But then it seemed like it was for me.
I am so excited for the next chapter of my creativity and my life.
I've been making small changes to live a little more vicariously.
It's... exciting!
ADVENTURE AWAITS!

Here's some of the details which shows the stitching and placement of the letters on the photo.

Magic.

It feels like magic.

Creativity is more than making a craft. Its the emotion, the message, the love.  For me, my art is through pictures.

Ya gotta love it.

Time to visit Cindy!

"Cutie, Cutie, Cutie" | AWW

My daughter adds "ie" to the end of everything and everyone.

Jack = Jack-ie "Baby"
Jane = Jan-ie "Waney"
Cute = Cut-ie "Tutie"

I look at these cards and I can't help but wiggle my head and repeat... "Cutie. Tutie. Woonie. Bootie."

Pretty sure you are gonna want the Blendabilities Markers now... right???
huh? huh?

Every day is party time at my house!!
WOOHOOOOOO!!!

Notice their eyes???

Yeah... they are pearls with a sharpie so they look little itty bitty goggly eyes...

"goo-ge-ly... boo-ge-ly.. ru-de-ly... su-de-ly..."

Yeah.

We aren't afraid to rhyme words that aren't words.

Welcome to my world.
Go see Cindy!!! ("Bindy. Mindy. Tindy. Lindy")

Embracing the New In Colors | AWW

I am embracing the new In Colors...
using the negative of an MDS digital image...
But I forget which one...
Because.... I have been slowly losing my marbles lately.

Anyone have any extra marbles?

(Insert: Alanna has extra marbles to lend me!! She told me that this digital download is Chillin' Out)

And I am totally doing this last minute.
4 minutes.
All I did was use my Silhouette Cameo and cut out this image already designed by Stampin' Up!

Then I put a window sheet over the back.  My theory was... if I wasn't so lazy I'd glue the little "holes in the donuts.. I mean "o's" onto the window sheet.  It turns out I was too lazy.

Then I cut a strip of each new in colour card stock and laid them on the kraft paper...

I used a lot of pop dots..

Ok. I never.

I lied.

I used some cardboard I had laying around.

Again. Lazy scrapbooker.
1 minute.

Then I placed my picture on the right hand side... I literally grabbed whatever I had left on my desk in terms of stamps and scraps. You can see the new Kinda Electric stamp and the super cool Dotty Angles stamp... some slivers of vellum and Moonlight designer paper stack.. and then stapled it together with some washi tape.  I was covering up fingerprints and covering mistake after mistake... but that's the fun part right!

Done.

Over time. Oops... can't be perfect every time? Right? Huh? Huh? Get it?
Pleeeeeze... I need to give this up and go on Last Comic Standing.

You need to go to Cindy now!! HAVE FUN!
