Jennifer Wilson is the leader and creator of Simple Scrapper.
She's incredible and really is inspiring me to live simpler. cleaner. less.

Robot. Robot. | #tgifc09

robot. robot.
(that's "hello humans" in robot talk)

tgif.
seriously.
tgif.

In the monthly challenge remix you have to use at minimum two of the monthly challenges over the course of that particular month.  I used the sketch challenge and watercolouring.  To watercolour the robot, I didn't use water at all really but I did use a blender pen with soft sky and tip top taupe ink.

I put a little shading on the bottom to make is look like a shadow.  This grounds him... (if you don't understand that concept, it essentially means that he doesn't "float")

He's so cute isn't he??? He's from the "Boys will be Bows" stamp set at Stampin Up!

So fun!
Cheers!

Project Life Love | Fancy Friday

wait. what's this?

oh.

that.

yeah.
that's a page full of gold glitter with a 12x12 window sheet placed inside.
the window sheet has the word 'hello' and a gold butterfly die cut sewed on it.
all of that is sewed shut at the top.
the glitter moves around and looks really cool in real life.
yeah.
cool.

oh hello.

It's Fancy Friday! This time we are showing off some of our most favourite products from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. It should not be a surprise that I love Project Life(TM).  I put together a small album for a regional Stampin' Up! event that I'd love to show you using the new Happy Times and Moments Like These card collections.  Here we go!

Check out the cool new 12x12 album - stripes!

What's even cooler is on the inside cover is a QR code.  A code to a YouTube playlist.  Its amazing what music can do to the soul... try it.

Did you see my face poking out of that first title glitter page? Ahhh. Well, that's a page that I did about me... whaaaat? Yeah. Me. I never do it.  So I am doing it now.

But first.
Let me take a selfie.

Again, there's window sheets to keep the 2x2 floating squares in place.
(Not showing you the reverse of this one - that's exclusive to my Project Life by Mail subscribers!)

OK, so here's what the album looks like next with the photo pages in the album.  The next page is actually 10x12".  Because of the order of my pages, I didn't like the right hand side.  To fix my problem I put a "divider" behind it.  See below to "feel me".

Here's the up close of the page.  The multi selfie photo of my daughter was just printed using my Canon Selphy photo printer but you can do this easily in PicMonkey online.  The journalling was done straight onto the "Moments like These cards".

Behind this is the following page - did you pick up that I did one side relating to my daughter's "every day" and then the next page has my son's "every day".  You can also see that I've used a pocket that can pull out in the 2x4" slot in the middle on top.

A pocket?
Yes. A pocket.
The card pulls out.
yip.
But its the back of the pages.
Yeah. Cut the plastic.
how?
With an exact-o knife.
Can you show me a picture?
Argh. fine.

The divider. Oh right. Yes.  The divider.  It's that lovely velum page back to back.  But I've stamped it. Isn't that neat?

Did you think you were going to see the full thing?
Nah.
I have 3 minutes to get this posted.
Come back soon! :)

But first.
Let's take a selfie.
(oh gosh. I am hilarious.  so funny.  can't. breath.)
No. Not let's take a selfie.
Check out Cindy. She's gonna be great!

Cheers!

Congratulations to the bride and groom | #tgifc08

You've probably figured out by now that I love white and simple cards.

I truly don't believe this card need anything more.

This card was created by colouring the stamp with Stampin' Up! markers.  With a quick blow on the rubber stamp, I was able to have a multi-coloured stamp. Lovely.

This project was created for TGIF challenges.  We bring you projects every week to keep you inspired and creating beautiful things. Make sure you link up your own projects!

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful sun!

My Pumpkin Challenge | Birthday Bash Project #3

Hi again!

I've been busy busting my Paper Pumpkin stash.  These tags were created using a past kit where by we were to punch out the little stars and use it for confetti.  I decided to keep the negatives and create a card by stapling a sentiment.

Don't overthink your projects.  Just use whats on your desk and mish mash them together.

This project was created for the Pumpkin Challenge for June 2015 where by you use your Paper Pumpkin kits and play along with the challenge.  Make sure to link up by the end of the month!

A BoHemian cheers! | #tgifc07

A bohemian 'cheers'!

Those bohemian colours are a little wild for me but I just can't stop using them!

The greeting 'cheers' was created using the new Stampin' Up! greetings thinlet.  It's fantastic!!!

Its definitely on your 'must have' list.

Recognize the sketch?

Yes, its created with inspiration from the sketch below from TGIF Challenges!  Make sure to play along with us this week using the following sketch:

Have a great day!

You are amazing! | #tgifc07

This week's challenge at TGIF is a sketch challenge.
This time I wasn't sure how I wanted to approach it.

Truthfully I like the sketch better than my card.  This is probably a sketch that I should have really interpreted exactly as shown.

Lesson learned.

Maybe I'll come back to this when I have no inspiration in the tank.

Play along with us every week!

I'm Here For You | You've Got This stamp set

I attended a scrapbook retreat a couple weeks ago and did several projects.  One of which was this card with the scraps from other projects.

It's white.
It's simple.

That's all you need.

Cheers,
Cathy

watercolour Congrats | #tgifc06

This is a special card for my friend Catherine!
She just had a new baby Isabella and she's about 2 weeks old now.
It's been a long long long wait not to mention stressful so when she arrived in this world, I couldn't be happier. Only problem is that she lives 6 hours away so I am storing up all my cuddles for July.

Its actually a water colour challenge at TGIF challenges!

The first step is to use water colour paper.  The next step would be to emboss a stamp on the cardstock with white embossing powder. Then I used my blackberry bliss re-inker to create the watercolour effect.  I put a couple drops on my kraft mat.  I sprayed tons of water then I used my aqua painter to colour the page.

But my most favourite part of the card is sewing the new lace trim on the top.  I used the taupe colour.  ahhhhh.  love love love it.  I didn't think I'd like Tip Top Taupe but man, its hitting me hard (like blackberry bliss last year).

And now I am off to continue the chaos.

How did it become June already?
Cathy

Butterfly Thinlet Thank You | #tgifctd01

I am back with another TGIF Challenge but its with a twist!

Essentially, you can use any of the above items plus the items in the "pantry", which is some basic supplies.  But that's it.  Think of the show called "Chopped".  The idea is to challenge you by limiting what you can use.  It's quite liberating actually.  For this challenge, you have all of the month of June to link up.  The TGIF Design team will be bringing you more projects for this throw down so make sure you keep watching.

As an added bonus I was just loving the gold butterflies that I wanted to make an even simpler card.

Don't forget to play with the weekly TGIF challenges that are brought to you every Friday.
