'Tis the Season | Be Inspired Blog Hop

Oh, the Be Inspired Blog Hop team is bringing you some black and bling this month!

Today's project was created when I began pulling Stampin' Up! products from my shelves that I thought fell into this category. The shimmery ribbon is what started everything moving. This design is a 'go to design" for me where I creaet a cluster and place it in the create of a card front. The photography of the Feels like Frost Designer Series Paper brought this card to life.

And of course, I loved the little snowflake sequins in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue.

Thanks for dropping by to check out my project today! I am so excited for the holiday season to begin! Up next, we have the incrediby talented Carolynn Sander!

See you soon!

Those Penguins. | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Another month has went by and I am back with the absolute best creative team as everyone in this blog hop is either past or current Stampin' Up! Artisan. This month we are testing our creativity limits by mixing and matching the annual and holiday catalogues.

My card is different for me as I am using a black background to bring out the penguin design. If you take a close look you can see I'veused two embossing folders from the annual catalogue: Woven Heirlooms and the Brick and Mortar 3D folder.

And of course, the penguins come from the Playful Penguins stamp set in the holiday catalogue!

I love this holiday catalogue and I just love these penguins. There's so much that these guys can do!!

You are in for a treat now as I always love Krista Frattin's style and I am certain you do too. She's up next so check it out!

A Pregnancy to Remember | Simple Scrapper SPARK Magazine

"The first half of this third pregnancy was full of highs and lows. Highs because I feel so blessed and happy to be bringing another child into this family and this world. Lows because of endless nausea, 2 trips to the ER, chest pains, sores in my mouth, hives on my body from allergies, pink eye and everything else. This pregnancy is no joke. And pretty hard. Being at 20 weeks now, I hope the lows are behind me especially now that we’ve seen Baby Caines yawning, dancing and nuzzling into her Mama. Through all the illness, we all can’t wait to meet you.

Celebrating the Moose | 2018 A-Team Reunited Blog Hop

Whats the "A-Team"?
Artisan.
2018 Stampin' Up! Artisan Dream Team.
And I am so excited to be hanging out with my talented friends again.
We are getting ready for the holiday and can't wait to show you.

I am from the East Coast of Canada living on an island called Newfoundland. We have a HUGE population of moose... which is super interesting considering they aren't native to our land. Therefore, this animal holds a small part of each and every Newfoundlander. I am completely drawn to this punch. And I can assure you that I will never ever ever part with it.

So celebrate with me, those tall big vegetarians!
And yes.
I totally was chased by a moose before in Gros Mourne National Park.
And I am here to talk about it.
Because guess what?
When I stopped running, he just went on his merry way.
They are awesome.

Keep hopping along to my friend Susan Wong!! I can't wait to see what she shares because I can assure you our holiday seasons lok very different just in the small fact of our opposite climates!

Colouring with Stampin' Write Markers | Creating Kindness Blog Hop

I am so excited to be joining the Creating Kindness Blog Hop as a Guest Designer this month!

The theme for this month's hop is "Coloring" which is completely up my alley. My favourite way to colour is using the Stampin' Up! Write Markers and an Aquan Painter.... Stampin' Up! seriously has the best reds... seriously.

To nail this technique, stamp an image on water colour paper. Quickly apply clear embossing folder and heat set. This allows there to be a slight ridge on the paper to keep the water from crossing lines. Now you are ready to colour - Colour in each area as you please with the markers then move the ink around with the aqua painter... Yup. It's that easy.

How fun is this stamp set? It's the On to Adventure Stamp Set and totally fun to play with. Check out my short time lapse video if you want to see my process!

Keeping hopping along to check out each designer's take on the Colouring Theme! My friend and old Artisan Design Team blog neighbour is up next - Charlet!

Until Next Time,
Cathy

Baby Bump | Simple Scrapper SPARK Magazine

"I couldn’t believe it when one of my best friends told me she was expecting. Shocked can’t even come close to my over the top laughter. Then to find out we had the exact same due dates with unplanned pregnancies was unreal. But I am so glad to be on this adventure together with her."
