almost ten | Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop

I don't overthink scrapbooking.
Normally I start with the photo.
Why?
Because I almost always type my story.
To tell the story I want a visual.
That's the photo part.
I type.
I print.
I embellish.
I love it and you will too.
Because life is good enough to be documented.

Almost ten, she is slowing down. More than ever before, she makes sure shes close. Always at my feet unless she’s digging holes outside. Her fur around her face is now white. It suits her. She makes me smile and most definitely warm. She’s definitely my old dog.

Don't stop here, the Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop team is showing projects with a floral theme this month. Be sure to be inspired and get your memories documented.

Have a wonderful day,
Cathy

Waterfront stamping | Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

I can feel it.
In fact, I can see it.
Spring is here in these parts on the Eastern parts of Canada.
Today's featured stamp set, Waterfront definitely falls into the "Spring" theme as people begin to think about camping and summers around the lake.

As the kids begin to finish off their school year and as the dance recitals wind up, the thank you cards and gifts also begin to pile up.

The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) pairs perfectly with the Waterfront stamp set. By using this DSP you can crank out multiple thank you notes or boxes as I have using the Mini Pizza Boxes by Stampin' Up!

To re-create the trees below, I simply inked my tree stamp in Old Olive Ink and then stamped it off creating a shadow.

Done and done, right?

Thank you so much for dropping by today. I really do have to book a couple camping adventures for my family this summer. This is a great reminder!

Be sure to keep hopping to check out the multi talented Charlet Mallet!

Happy Mother's Day! | Stamp to Share Blog Hop

Welcome to the June International Stamp to Share Blog Hop. These Stampin' Up! demonstrators are incredibly talented and I am lucky to be representing Canada.

Each month this global design team selects products by Stampin' Up! in order to inspire you on how you can incorporate them into your Stampin' Up! business or projects. This month we are featuring the early release by Stampin' Up! called Share What You Love.

In Canada and North America, Mother's Day lands on the second Sunday in May.  This brings us to May 13th this year. For the past week, I have been busy getting things ready to send to my favorite mothers and grandmothers. The Share What you Love product suite is exactly what I needed to finish these projects. The faux water coloring on the paper is perfection in my mind.

To soften the floral design and to give it a "lighter' appeal, I added the vellum over top.

Thanks for dropping by today - I am so thankful that you are here! And if you are in North America celebrating all mothers, than happy mother's day!

Paula Dobson is up next. Shes incredibly talented - I can't wait to see what she has made to show us today!

Share What You Love | Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team

The Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team is back this month to "Share What We Love"...
... which is really what it's all about.
Be sure to share what you love.

The "Share What You Love" Suite is an early release of the Stampin' Up! 2018-19 Annual Catalog available on June 1. These items are available to purchase as of today for both Stampin' Up! demonstrators and their customers. However, the product suite is only available in the forms of bundles:

          1. JUST GETTING STARTED: a bundle for the stamper just getting their toes wet
          2. A LITTLE MORE, PLEASE: a bundle for the stamping ninja
          3. GOTTA HAVE IT ALL: enough said

Last month the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team showed you some projects to give you a little taste of what is to come. This month we continue to share our ideas. Last month my blog post showed projects using the Just Getting Started Bundle only. This month I'll be showing you projects using the Gotta Get It All  bundle.

Quite honestly, I can't get enough of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. While it still has a water colour feel, it hasn't gone too far. It's an easy way to dress up your envelopes.

If you are curious about the Make A Difference Polymer Stamp, it's a super cool way to letter. Lettering is a super cool trend right now and I have been enjoying watching people learn. If that's not something you have time for but you love the effect, you can achieve that with this stamp set.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me today. My gorgeous friend Charlet Mallet is up next to inspire you and of course, she is totally ready to share what she loves.
