Vintage Leaves in gold | Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine
Yesterday, I spoke about being thankful.

This card was created on watercolour paper. I heat embossed the Stampin' Up! Vintage Leaves stamps in gold. I then used my aqua painter and ink pads to colour in the leaves. The "Thanks" comes from the Greetings Thinlets... (which you should have by now, of course)

I am Grateful | Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine
Today on the Canadian Scrapbooker Blog, I talk about being thankful for the big things and the little things. Make sure to hop over there and give them some love.
Using the Stampin' Up! Seasonal Snapshot Project Life (c) Accessory Kit, I created this simple layout to list out those things that came top of mind. Aren't those mini alphas adorable? The word "grateful" comes from the Seasonal Frame Thinlet... a hidden gem.
The kit comes with several wood veneer 3x4 cards that have pieces have come out - the star below is one of those pieces.

Canadian Scrapbooker cover... Spring Edition!
In my absence from blogging, I've neglected to tell you a wee little secret I had!
Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine used my layout as their cover for their Spring edition! You can get this online or any local grocery store in Canada!
If you are wondering who the angel is, its not either of my babies but rather another gorgeous little one whose photograph was selected for the cover.
When I had the photo in hand, the title came immediately. From there I wanted to keep the layout soft and coordinate with the tones of the photos. There's slight mixed media elements with some modelling paste and misting. Just enough to keep it "light".

It's a Sketchy Challenge: Canadian Scrapbooker February 2015
Every month, the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine does a Sketchy Challenge.
They release a sketch and you can use it for your inspiration.
Here is this month's sketch, created by the lovely Sue Sykes!
While at a scrapbooking retreat, we received a goodie bag. This goodie bag composed mostly of Kelly Purkey's line with Basic Grey. That is the base kit I used for this layout.
These circles are actually stickers from an old sticker sheet I had... Yes, I am trying very very hard to bash my stash! I have been throwing a lot on a page, these days!

November 2014 Its a Sketchy Challenge with CS Magazine
Sometimes I just scrap the picture and other times I find inspiration in different ways. It could be the product I am using. The story I am telling or a picture of a cake.
It could also be a sketch.
Every month the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine does a sketch "It's a Sketchy Challenge".
Here's this month's sketch and where my inspiration came from.
I was at a scrapbook retreat all weekend and used lots of different product and mediums. I really started to get in the mood to put as many elements from one package... in an effort to "bash my stash". I had a blast!
I played with the Prima color shine... lots of mica in there!
Lots of stitching all over this layout!

Its a Sketchy Challenge July 2014 with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine
July has been such a whirlwind for me!
I did have time to play with the Its a Sketchy challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.
All supplies are from the current Stampin' Up! annual catalog. There are many elements of the Project Life product line and the amazing new Typeset DSP - its very thin and totally yummy... perfect for a family full of pirates!
Here's the lovely sketch!
Today is supposed to go up to 40 with the humidex here...
this is not the norm and I am sure I'll be very hot... But its better than cold!
