Day 5: Halifax!!

Day 5!! And still productive... sort of!

This one came together quicker than I thought it would today!! I remembered the little rolled paper technique from the Bean Talk a few weeks ago and when I looked at pictures from the Zoo it worked perfectly to test it out.

How fun it turned out to be!! Just about as fun as our trip to Halifax!!

I have to say that the Jillibean corrugated paper is by far some of my most favorite looking letters... LOVE! With my greatest love of twine, the combo just was awesome to me!! You likely can't tell but the background paper and the dark brown is has a 'wood grain' type flavor so its awesome!! I am not sure what brand it is though.. oops! The background is SU newsprint!

I also started a card and virtually destroyed my scraproom... I think because it hits too close to home, I couldn't get anything to look the way I wanted it to.  Here's attempt #1 - I am sure you'll see some more attempts soon.

Materials (All Stampin Up): Elegant Lines embossing folder, basic pearls, Teeny Wishes stamp set, Precious butterflies stamp set, Biz Beautiful Butterflies, Garden Green ink & designer paper, and versamark, and crumb card stock.

As a total side note just noticed that one of my favorite online discount stores Scrapbooksteals.com has Mr. Hueys today - Ummm... GET THEM.  See an old layout below where I used it... LOVE THEM.  Can't get enough!! They also have a bloghop on the go if you are interested. http://scrapbooksteals.stealnetwork.com/wp/2012/08/10/studio-calico-mr-hueys-mists-august-blog-hop/

Alright - well, I have some wedding stuff that I need to take care of soon. See you tomorrow!!
