I couldn't quite find that inspiration today so I started clearing up my scrapbook room... and ran across a question for the scrappers out there... how do you organize your paper? I have some lovely shelves and I have card stock in 3 or 4, along with SU textured 12x12 paper, non-SU 12x12 plan paper, a couple shelves for SU paper, a couple shelves for non-SU paper, then holidays and a shelves for some 12x12 paper packs I have. However, I still can never find the perfect paper!!! How is that even possible?? I was thinking today I just organize by brand and collection but I am finding that difficult if all the paper remains loose... thoughts?
I moved on from there and checked out my small pile of 'to be done'. Basically I have pictures and some paper picked out for 3 to 4 layouts. I decided to start from the top... I think started looking at some of my favorite blogs and landed with the Monday Mojo at the local scrabooking store here called The Paperie.
Here's the link for the challenge of the week: http://thepaperie.wordpress.com/2012/08/06/mojo-monday-with-krista-wells/
I just put my 'S' on a slight slant but I thought it was cute:
Materials used were MME 12 days of Christmas, Whisper White SU, Chocolate Chip SU, BG Life of the Party letters, October Afternoon Holiday Style Chip n Stick, SU Bakers Twine, SU buttons, SU Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details and Studio G glitter glue (which is now thrown out because it was too watery... do not use!)
I decided I wasn't sure if I liked it, put it aside, grabbed some lunch and headed back up to my scrapbook room. I then found the insipiration to create a card!! But this was purely a 'scraplift' from one of my favorite blogs called the 'Bean Talk' - It's awesome!! Follow along!! http://www.jillibeansoup.typepad.com/
Anyways, check it out!!!
Materials: This is a purely Stampin Up (SU) because they had the perfect matching product for it: Crumb Cake paper, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo & Cherry Cobbler ink and bakers twine, PS. I Love you stamp set. Tiny Tags stamp set, and the Owl builder (small heart on the back) and jewellery tag punches.
I thought I would show you what I did with the back.. rather than tuck the twine away, I just hid it with a cute little element..
Time to get Jane from daycare!! I can't wait to see her!! Bt maybe we'll swing by a grocery store that's air conditioned to pick up some supper!
Cheers,
Cathy
