Day 20: New techniques

As Cheryl mentioned, I am hitting a bit of a wall so in order to re-energize myself I decided to do a couple things:

1. Make a list!! What would I like to scrapbook? Techniques to learn? Things to buy?... I know, I always say I should make a list but I never do.  So, this week as I go along I'll be looking at that.

2. Go through the dreaded box of pictures along with the scrapbooks to see if there are "gaps" that need to be scrapped.  I don't scrapbook in order sooooo my books are out of order and certainly have holes.

3. Print the new pictures I want/need.

4. Sort my cardstock!!! (What a mess!!)

Alright, so my family is attending a birthday party tomorrow for Aunt Courtney AND Uncle Paul.  Luckily I have been on the ball and have a card for Uncle Paul that I did for a swap awhile back.  But Aunt Courtney.. not so much.  I've slowly been going through and cleaning my scrap space and ran across a 'color spritzer'.  I have had it for a long time and it hasn't been opened... so guess what?  I opened it and read the instrcutions and decided to try it.  This is what it looks like.  It's as simple as grabbing a marker and slipping it into the slot and screwing it tight. I believe its an SU exclusive producce but I might be wrong in that department.

I grabbed my whisper white paper and squeezed the handle about two inches over the paper.  And voila!! It spritzed on the paper. There wasn't quite enough light to catch this in the picture but its awesome and SO EASY.  I get a little messy with the Mr Hueys (which I loveeee). Its nice to have another option as it allows you to have a lighter spritz but darker than the Smooches, as well as lots of color choices i fyou have a numebr of markers. I then tried to play with it with some other colors.  FUN!!

I decided I couldn't stop there and went ahead and made a card with it for Miss Courtney!! It appears to be simple (and it is) but I love it.  Sometimes, simple is amazing!! Actually, I love the single stamped white cardstock colored. love, love!
Materials used: SU mambo melon cardstock and marker, Petaloo flower, SU whisper White paper, SU scallop dots melon mambo ribbon, SU All Holidays stamp set

I decided I couldn't stop there and went ahead to finish up my Christmas scrapbooking pages but it fit in with the scrapbooksteals mid week mojo challenge... Check out this separate post!!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Cathy
