The one thing that I have accomplished is that I am not "overwhelmed" or "afraid" of my scrap room. For whatever reason when I was sick in my first trimester, the thought of doing anything there made me want to be ill!!! I think its because I felt like there was a lot to do... or maybe it was just because anything I looked at made me feel that way.
Today I finished a layout and then I played around with some cards. So - mission accomplished!!
I have been going back to scrapbooksteals to complete the entire Pearl Mid Week Mojo challenge. I think there's 10 weeks, but I can't remember. Here is the Week 1 layout (Note Week 6 was released today if you want to play along!)
I was loving the Mr. Hueys so I used that on this layout!! Here's what I used: SU textured whisper white background paper, SU mambo melon card stock and ink, SU whisper white card stock, SU pennant punch, SU butterfly punch, SU decorative label punch, Crate Paper Snow Day (Melt), BG Olivia paper, BG Kissing Booth paper, SU hat pin, Sew Easy Fancy Floss meadow, BG chipboard letters and Mr. Hueys Leaf green.
So, then I decided that I needed to do a wedding card for the weekend.. however, I did not get that done. Instead I got a baby card and two birthday cards... just playing around with some old SU sets and my lucky limeade card stock. I didn't love my first two but I love love the third... probably because it has the SU lattice embossing folder and twine... I have a weakness for those these days.
Materials Used: (All Stampin Up) - Lucky limeade & So saffron paper, Long fellows retired stamp set, You're My Type stamp set for the 'happy birthday', old olive grosgrain 1/8th ribbon, "play date" simply scrappin set, blender pens and inks.
Materials Used (All Stampin Up): Lucky limeade and So Saffron paper and ink, Baby Steps retired stamp set, "Nursey Suite" Simply Scrappin set, Owl Builder punch for the heart, Old Olive 1/8th grosgrain ribbon
Materials Used (All Su except twine) : Long Fellows stamp set (retired), Best Dad Ever stamp set, silver 1/8th mini brads, grosgrain old olive ribbon, Dollarama twine, lucky limeade card stock, blender pens with inks and lattice embossing folder.
Yeah, I love the simplicity of the last card and I love the little brads and I love the lattice embossing folder. Its obvious that I love twine... yeahhhhhh... I love it when you are done a project and you step back and say "I just love it".
When am I going to get that darn wedding card done? HA! I have a new stamp set that I might try out tomorrow! I am off to the fabric store for drapery fabric!
Happy hump day!
Cathy
