seriously growing up | #tgifc16

"It’s happening.  You are growing up. With a month away from going to Kindergarten, we set you out to your first all day camp.  You had to pack your lunch, swimsuit, extra clothes and lots of snacks.  Your new book bag was bursting and looked too big for your tiny frame. The sun was bursting from the sky and you were skipping to the door.  It was like I was watching you move from an innocent little girl to a strong little woman. You told me your belly was a little nervous and I said “one of the most important things in life is to try all kinds of new adventures because you never know what you will like if you don’t.” And with that, she felt her way through the first hour doing cartwheels & flips. It made me so proud that I could leave you and know you were going to be okay."

Like many if us, I want to tell the story.  Maybe its a form of a diary or maybe its like a form of therapy - scrapbooking, memory keeping and story telling is definitely good for the soul.  It was Tuesday that I this happened and on Wednesday I needed to take those bottled up emotions into a creative outlet.
This layout uses primarily the Stampin' Up! "This is the Life" Project Life card kit and accessory kit.

The TGIF design team had the following sketch for this week's challenge.  When I saw it, I envisioned a white page with mostly yellows from the sun rays and this photo in the centre.  It certainly didn't turn out like how I thought I would do it so don't feel "bound" by this sketch.  Just let it be your beginning and see where it takes you.

And yes.  It never HAS to be a card.
Be sure to go to the TGIF Challenge Blog to play along!
Have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by.
Cathy
