CCC #001: Color Challenge

WELCOME!!

You want to know where I get inspiration?  When I lose my eyes and look at the bac of my eye lids.  I am not joking. Nope, I am not.  I had to rock my babes extra long last night (teething..) and I had lots of time for images to float in my head.

I saw braiding and square outlines and a sketch... and FRILLS.  Yup.

So, immediately I decided I would do it in the colors of the challenge.  Frills is another way to add texture and its EASY.  Just use your scissors and cut away.

Then catastrophe happened.

I wanted chevron.  The images reminded me of chevron.  And I can't find my chevron embossing folder.  Do you have it?  If you find it, please let me know.

But I choose vineyard... and I loved it.

Using the Label Love stamp collection and the co-ordinating punch, I made a birthday card for my buddy. As with my style I had to keep white in the flow of things.
Next, I hauled out my paper pumpkin stamps. My plan was to take that chevron stamp and make a set of tags - one of each the color combo. But then... change of plans... I thought I was quite clever to put them in the new wood mounted cases... until I realized that they really don't look so pretty without labels.

Do you want the dimensions?  OK, cut your patterned paper 7" x 11".  Then you are going to score at 5" and 6 and a quarter. Love it. Big difference.

Not a lot of light in this craft room but it sure looks a lot better than before!!
Don't forget to follow along with this challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create.  You have until July 31st to complete it - link up your post here.
Arrivederci!
Cathy
