Project Life: a beginning

Exciting news! I am now part of the SOUS Project Life design team! What?!? Wait. I don't do Project Life!!  But I sure like to document life so it must count for something. I am over the moon to work with the style to incorporate it into my own scrapbooks.

Today is the inaugural first challenge : Buttons.

It's simple enough that maybe you'll take those project life cards & embellishments and finally give it a whirl!  Play along with me and try it any way you wish... weekly, monthly, random... its your way or the highway.

Want to see some of the details?

Check out the letters on my layout.  Can you actually believe I couldn't find the perfect green color?  I found these awesome Prima Resist alphas in my stash. I was lucky enough to get these in an exclusive kit created for a retreat hosted by my local scrapbooking store "The Paperie". Using Dylusions spray, I used my kraft mat and went to town. Wow is all I have to say. Grab your purse and go get those letters... and spray... in multiple colors.

I just left them on my mat to dry and carried on...

One of the things about Project Life is that its a style that allows you to really play with things.  You can easily store all those keepsakes, artwork or ticket stubs, etc.  If you don't want to have your love notes in the open, tape your photos and scrappy elements right on the plastic page protector.  Then you can use the pocket for all the memorabilia you want!! I've done this for my header and journalling card.

Speaking of which.  Most of you know but if you have a regular printer and want to know how to print on a small piece of paper simply print what you want on a regular piece of paper.  Then layer the scrapbook paper on top.  If you lift up you can see where the journalling will show up on the page (is it centered?). Once you are happy, tape it down in a couple spot or even take your taper runner and adher to the page. Slip it back into the paper tray of your printer in the exact same way as you did previously. Hit print again and voila!

... If you look at that journalling card close enough you'll notice my six month old is in the 100th percentile in height. Yeah.  He is a big boy and has outgrown much of his clothes... Not to mention his shoe size is infant 4. I think I better get myself a couple cows and build a garden before he eats me out of house and home.

Have a fantastic day!!  But don't forget to see my new toy??  It's a Canon Selphy photo printer... Its perfect for Project Life!!!!! Lovin' it.
