friends forever | Simple Scrapper

Awww, one of my best friends. Miss Aoife.

Like many of my friends, we don't see each other as often as we'd like - it seems that this is just the way life is.  As time goes by, we call and go out to dinner to catch up. It runs in cycle but typically doesn't run over a month.  We always pick up where we left off. She's more than a bestie.  She's an 'Auntie' to my kids.

So, when Canada Day came all those years ago and we received a call that her brother, Neil, was in a major car accident, we were all there. Waiting and praying. He later passed away but he will never be forgotten.

And do you know why?  It's because on the following Canada Day, she made a decision to celebrate his life in a way that he would be thrilled about - a soccer tournament and some drinks with friends and family.  No matter how much time has gone by, we know exactly where to be on Canada Day. With her alongside her many friends and family - celebrating the life of Neil.

She's a forever friend.  The kind of friend that you would do anything for because you know she'd do the same.

This layout was created with paper from the Pink Fresh Documented collection.  There is a glassine bag behind the photo when I am ready to journal this picture and event. (Perhaps I just did above)

Thanks for dropping by!
Cathy
