Project Life Mini Album | AWW
Welcome back to another Stampin' Up! ADT blog post!!
Many of us that do Project Life are often overwhelmed with the number of cards. They are often not used or you may feel like they are overused. I am here to..
SAVE THE DAY...

It was very simple to put together. I simply pulled out the 4x6 cards I liked. I then had a handful of pictures and laid them together. Once I knew the order, I used sticky strip to adhere them back to back. Finally, I binded the book together using washi and for some seams I added some sticky strip underneath. Using some of the new stamps and the Project Life Everyday Accessory kit, I quickly pulled this together for my daughter.

Project Life Interactive Layouts | AWW
Welcome back to another Stampin' Up! ADT blog post!!
I've been really busy!! With life but I certainly have gotten the bug to scrapbook again. New inspiration always gets me...
Here's another fun interactive layout that you can add to your wish list. There's so many ways to be interactive so stay tuned!!
Don't give me that frown face!...
... you can still be interactive if you put your layout in a page protector! All you have to do is slice the protector and pull out the flap or flip or strong... whatever you want! If you have sturdy protectors, then you are all set! try it!
Oh.. and just clip your layouts or tie them with string if you don't have them hanging out of your albums.

Some more scrapbooking with Project Life tips to remember:
1. If you run out of the letters - use the negative! Or mix and match! That's always fun!
2. Always have your roller stamp ready. Years back you'll wish you dated and labeled.
3. Want to create a quick border or frame - grab a ruler... or don't... and your project life journaling pen. nobody will know the different!

Catherine & Cathy Create May 2014 Tag Challenge

I have a new niece in my life named Sawyer and I can't help but think about babies these days. She is so precious. It amazes me how women carry them for 9 months and then a "real live baby" arrives into this big world... ready to take on anything and everything.

My Pumpkin Challenge: Tags Everywhere Project 2
Back again with another My Paper Pumpkin project. This month's project is super cute - a picture frame!! I decided to put a photo in it rather than the art. I then created a tag that labelled the two cuties in the photos.
This project was created for the My Pumpkin Challenge so make sure that you are playing along with them each month!
I adore newsprint so I am 100% drawn to this tag. In fact, I really didn't want to use it as I wanted to use it for something extra special.... I realized that I was giving this to my grandmother whom would cherish this present. I popped it off with a cute paper heart!
And... how cute is the packaging!!
This month's pumpkin was amazing!!
I can't wait for next month!

2014 Scrapbook Organization Plan | AWW
Initially, the idea of Project Life was to create a double page layout for every week of the year. At the end of the year, you'd have 52 weeks of memories captured. Many people go by this idea. For me, although I like the project style layout, I like to do traditional layouts as well. Therefore, what I do, is "play by my own rules".

This was a great idea as I wanted the kids to be able to have their own books. BUT, I found it too much to do three books. I was often scrapping the same pictures... <I still do that... but its my RULES, right>
Lesson Learned.
CATHY'S SCRAPBOOK ORGANIZATION FOR 2014:
In 2014, I am doing one big 12x12 scrapbook album. It is divided into 12 sections for each month. Each month begins with a calendar and behind it I store the kids art or certificates for that particular month. <Thanks for the idea, Sara Case Strickland!> Then, I scrapbook traditionally any layouts that I feel like for the month. January doesn't have very many layouts but April has a lot. In addition to the traditional layouts, I have a project life style layout that captures many photos that perhaps wouldn't need their own page. Some months have a double page layout like April as there was Easter and a family trip to the GeoCentre. This week's project is one of the project life style layouts I did for April. If you saw last week's post, you can see that this layout is actually on the other side of the project life style layout.
To finish up really quickly, I have mini albums for gifts. I also do mini albums for little adventures. I intend to create the kids a 6x8 book each for 2014 when I get my hands on those new Stampin' Up! products. Stay tuned.
You'll notice that I had an interesting way of journalling. Sometimes I journal straight on the page like here. Other times I use the DSP in interesting ways. Don't feel like you need to only stick to the journalling cards. This is also one of the "flippy flaps" that I discussed last week. You can adhere these with washi tape. I often put sticky strip underneath it or sew it, just for extra security. It always depends if there's a "face" on the picture or not.
Although these are cute little journal cards, I decided to cut out a picture to fit it. I believe I used my 2 1/2" punch for this. I also journalled around the circle.
