Back to another Fancy Friday!
What?
Late.
No.
Never.
OK.
Yes, I was!
This month we are focusing on retired product.
I can't believe it but the stamp carving kit that Stampin' Up! called "Undefined" introduced last year is getting the boot.
Almost two years ago, I saw the brilliant Jane Lee do a scrapbook page of her son Sawyer showcasing his handwriting. How? She carved a stamp.
And that has been on my list for a very long time.
No, don't be so silly. This isn't for Jane Lee. She's much fancier than this. But my daughter Jane Caines will enjoy this far more than any other stamp in her growing collection. It's nice to have a piece of her forever and ever.
Step 1: Coffee.
Step 2: Find my daughter's artwork (not hard as I am a scrapbook-a-holic)
Step 3: Trace her artwork with a pencil as shown above.
Step 4: Smush it into the carving block as shown below.
Step 5: Carve to your heart's content around the image. Use the small and large carving tools.
Step 6: Test stamp until happy and then stamp the wood block provided.
Pretty close, isn't it? I am now giving this as a gift to my daughter Jane.
That was fun.
Its time to announce the winner of the gift card frame lit!!
Congrats to Rhea!

ReplyDeleteJane will treasure that stamp
What an incredible stamp....one I think I need for Isabella when she learns to print her name. - Rexene
ReplyDeleteAww, my name is Jane. That would have been so cool to have a stamp with my signature carved into it when I was little. That is a treasure for a lifetime!
