A bridal shower + video | Fancy Friday

It's wedding season and you are likely seeing lots of gold, white and blush pink.  This month's Fancy Friday inspiration for this blog hop comes from the following mood board.  You should have come from my fancy friend, Krista Frattin's page unless this is your first stop.

It just so happened that I had been planning a bridal shower around the same time as working with this mood board. I am loving this look and have created several projects this wedding season with this "Great Gasby" + meets "Blush Blossoms" look. This banner was created using the silver trim and gold glimmer paper, topped off with some retired ribbon. The letters were cut out from my silhouette using the Arial Black font.

This banner was paired with several garlands made out of a circle punch and cardstock.  This was machine sewed but really takes no time.

In addition, this bride wanted treats as favours as well as for the food tables. You can see that in the first photo, there are chocolate coins packaged up - this wedding is in Vegas so it gave a little Vegas flare! Here's a closer look!

These rock candy are great for any occasions!! I've used them with a quick tag for several events!

I usually go with Hershey Nuggets but believe it or not there was none to be found in my city of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada - Instead I used my 1" circle punch and created these from Reese's Peanut Butter cups! You can see some retired designer paper that I found to finish these off.

And finally, the bride has some body wash from the guests - I created a quick tag.  She will then put all the elements together.

I love the designing part of event planning! So, while planning the samples for this bridal shower, I decided I would create a quick video for you to help you if you are planning for any kind of event.  Make sure you check it out!

Don't stop here! My good friend, Cindy has more projects to show you! Hop along!

  2. Cathy, these are absolutely outstanding! I'm a SU! demo on the Atlanta, GA area and my son finally gave me a date for his wedding today! It's 4/29/17, in Orlando, FL and he wants me to get the Save the Dates out ASAP! Her colors are gold and white, also. Do you mind telling me what different fonts were used for your projects? I've been searching and not seeing something I liked until now! Thanks in advance. Susan Barron, stampwithsusan@comcast.net
