Leadership Display Boards Day 9: Twine Fun

Only a few more projects to go!!

Project #17: Twine Trim
This card was made using the Geometrical stamp set.  But I want you to focus on the trim I created with the twine.  How fun is that?  Its really easy too.  First you lay down your sticky strip and keep going until your down.  Then adher the twine.  Easy peezy and stay straight!

Project #18: Lasso!
This card uses the sale-a-bration DSP - love it!!  See how much fun the twine can be when you wrap it around your finger and adher it to the card? Best to use Tombeau for this!

Don't forget to check out the whole team's projects!

My Paper Pumpkin: All About Love Project #2

Back again to inspire you with more My Paper Pumpkin projects for the My Pumpkin Challenge!
For this card, I actually turned the card base inside out.  This way you can see the calypso coral color through the mini triangles.  This kit came with doilies, which always help soften up any texture.
Oh, and it it looks really cool inside!

Enjoy!!!

Artisan Wednesday Wow: Love You to the Moon and Back

How cute are those blog buttons?
Thank you to Jeanna Bohanon for creating them!

You should have come here from Becky's blog - if not, came sure you go through all ten posts.

Now when I saw this stamp set, I had to have it.  I think every mother's heart melts when they hear the saying "Love you to the moon and back" because it couldn't be more true.

But I wanted it BIG. I wanted to SCREAM it from the tops of every mountain.
Well, that didn't happen as I cannot enlarge stamps with the power of "shutting my eyes wee-eally,wee-ally tight and chanting.. I think, I can, I think I can."... not yet, at least.

This will have to do!
I actually created this while at a Sale-a-Bration even with my uplines!!
Thanks for the inspiration everyone! (I went from table to table gathering supplies & scraps)

Keep hopping along to Cindy... its her BIRTHDAY!! So send her lots and lots and lots of love!

Leadership Display Boards Day 8: Hello everyone!

Well hello everyone!!

I ran away.

I ran away to find the sun in Hilton Head, SC.

And I FOUND IT!

Project #15: Hello journal
This little guy has regular lined paper on the inside and it bound by two holes punched on the seem.  I used the twine to hold it all together, added the washi on the binding to make it cute, and even scored the binding so that it was easier to turn the page.
If you look up close, I embossed the black stamp and then colored it using blender pens.  The effect came out really cool!!

Project #16: Watercolor Paper
This watercolor paper makes me drool!  These are some scraps that I had leftover from some other projects.  I used my square punch to make the flags perfect.   I also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create the splatter. Consider using your corner punch to add some "spunk" to your card designs.

Don't forget to check out the whole team's projects!

My Paper Pumpkin: All About Love Project #1

This month's My Paper Pumpkin kit, had me a little bit stunned.  I wasn't sure whether I liked the samples so I decided to go in my own direction! One way that helped me get the most out of my "so-so" kit was to get inspired... all of a sudden it went from "so-so" to awesome! :)  Where do I get the inspiration you ask?

Well, the My Pumpkin Challenge is a great place to start!!
You have until the end of the month to join in on the challenge!
I am going to say it again... make sure you journal and make sure that you use your own handwriting every now and then...  You'll also notice that I cut out this paper from the January kit using the large scallop framelit at Stampin' Up!  I then sanded down the edges so that the fringe pops a little more.

After I had finished this layout, it felt like something was missing - so I doodled on the edges of the page as well as around all four boxes.  It definitely helped frame the focus.

Make sure you join the challenge!!!
