You are my Superhero | Fancy Friday Masculine Cards

Yeah Fancy Friday!
This month, us past Stampin' Up! Artisans are featuring masculine cards. And we have a fun guest blogger whom we like to call KVD so make sure you go through the whole hop.

This kid seemed pretty impressed.
I thought I was clever too by stamping the black cityscape from the "Calling All Heroes" stamp set onto yellow cardstock... to give the effect of yellow windows.

But really I would have been smarter if I stamped it on whisper white paper and then colored in those windows.  It took several attempts.

Now you know how to be smarter.

So I made another one.

I never reinvented the wheel here.
I've seen ties, bowties, and tuxedos on plenty of Father's Day cards in the past.
But I felt like this one came out super classy and cool.
Just like Dad.

I truly love that you have dropped by.
I am going to be giving away some blog candy.
The Gift Card Framelit!
But you are going to have to work for it.
You have to leave a comment telling me what inspires you to create.

oh. me. right.
well, what inspires me to create is simple.
as soon as something sad or cool or "did my kid really do that" moment or whenever I get that "I am happy" feeling in my belly... I want to write it down and document it. I am not a writer and I don't want to be.  I don't want to be a photographer.  So what happened is scrapbooking. And memory keeping. And making pretty things. Which morphs into everything else.

Pretty things.
I just love pretty things.
Fancy things.

Cindy is always making incredibly fancy things.
I can't wait to see to what she has made! Keep hopping!
Cheers!
Cathy

  1. That cityscape is too cool (yeah, I would NOT have had the patience to keep at that). And your little bow tie is perfectly debonair! You rock.

  3. Shopping, looking at magazines and traveling always inspires my creativity. I now carry a small note pad in my purse to jot down idea's, colors or themes.
Lovin' both of your cards. The city scape is cool and the bow tie is pretty neat on the banner for a shirt.
    Thanks for sharing with us!

Another are the blogs that I follow especially the Fancy Friday hop. You ladies are amazing at showing different ways to use supplies. Keep the inspiration coming to my inbox!

  7. Tried leaving a comment the first time but I think it went to neverland... I have this set and it's sat on my shelf WAY to long. You have inspired me to dust it off and get it out. Whether little boys or big boys this set is perfect. Love this card. XOXO

  10. I'm inspired by pictures and colors. Not enough time hinders the production. I like crops and get togethers with friends because the time is then designated to scrapping or card making. I love your cards. Keep on inspiring us!

  12. I get inspiration by looking at other cards and saying "I can do that"! When I do my version it looks NOTHING like the original card, but I usually like it anyway. So my creativity comes not from the card itself but from the "techniques" that I think I can do!! LOL
