Washi Tape challenge

Hi all!!

I am LOVING Christmas but I am SO behind on Christmas cards!! Today's job is to get the cards for the States sent out... Wish me luck!

Over the past couple months, I have been buying washi tape in the hopes that I get motivated with this new trendy product... that time is NOW!  My local scrapbooking store, the Paperie, had a weekly challenge this week to use this product. As soon as I saw this challenge, I got to work.  I knew what I wanted to use (MME All is Bright collection) and I had a couple projects in mind.

Supplies used: My Mind's Eye All is Bright collection, unknown twine, SU crumb cake paper, Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink, and SU metal buttons

I started out trying to make a card.  I stress trying because I was unsuccessful!! I had no idea how to use washi tape and what to do with it.  However, I did come up with a nice card for the challenge.
Supplies used: My Mind's Eye All is Bright collection washi tape, unknown twine, SU whisper white paper, Stampin' Up Christmas Greetings stamp set, staples, SU victoria trim and Recollections poinsetta

Once I completed this, I saw this reindeer food on the My Mind's Eye blog. Princess J and I got to work to get this done for all her friends at daycare. She decided that Rudolf loves pink sprinkles. Yummmm!! We followed this recipe but added some hot chocolate, lots and lots of sprinkles and a little bit of fine glitter (gotta watch out for those birds).  We then used baby food bottles to hold the contents.

Supplies used: Stampin Up Retired 'Deck the Halls Fabric' *, SU cherry cobbler baker's twine, downloadable tags from the MME link above, two way glue with irridescent ice glitter, Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink, Cherry cobbler marker, unknown twine and MME's washi tape.

* This is only $1.19 on the SU clearance rack. Weehoo!

I had a great time!! More cards to come!
Cathy
