Colouring with Stampin' Write Markers | Creating Kindness Blog Hop

I am so excited to be joining the Creating Kindness Blog Hop as a Guest Designer this month!

The theme for this month's hop is "Coloring" which is completely up my alley. My favourite way to colour is using the Stampin' Up! Write Markers and an Aquan Painter.... Stampin' Up! seriously has the best reds... seriously.

To nail this technique, stamp an image on water colour paper. Quickly apply clear embossing folder and heat set. This allows there to be a slight ridge on the paper to keep the water from crossing lines. Now you are ready to colour - Colour in each area as you please with the markers then move the ink around with the aqua painter... Yup. It's that easy.

How fun is this stamp set? It's the On to Adventure Stamp Set and totally fun to play with. Check out my short time lapse video if you want to see my process!

Keeping hopping along to check out each designer's take on the Colouring Theme! My friend and old Artisan Design Team blog neighbour is up next - Charlet!

Until Next Time,
Cathy

Baby Bump | Simple Scrapper SPARK Magazine

"I couldn’t believe it when one of my best friends told me she was expecting. Shocked can’t even come close to my over the top laughter. Then to find out we had the exact same due dates with unplanned pregnancies was unreal. But I am so glad to be on this adventure together with her."

This layout was created for the OCTOBER 2019 SPARK magazine exclusively developed for the online Simple Scrapper community. Within the community we are provided with sketches and journal prompts in order to help inspire members.

Fancy Floral with Bloom and Grow | Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Well, well, well.
At 23 weeks pregnant I am finally feeling well enough to get crafting.
I am so excited to be back with the rest of the Fancy Friday team.
Seriously though.
You can't get any better talent then this team when it comes to Stampin' Up! as each and everyone of these ladies are either a current or past Artisan Design Team Member.
I don't always love florals but I am totally in love with the Bloom and Grow stamp set. Not only that but I am inspired completely by a card in the catalogue which shows a similar design. I am a big believer in not re-inventing the wheel! Start with inspiration and make it your own!

This is where my inspiration ame from in the catalogue..

And out popped this when I was all done!!

I also cased the catalogue yesterday from page 156 in the catalogue - I created this card using the same stamp set. See.... I told you I was obssessed!

.... From the catalogue...

And my take....

Keep hopping along to check out everyone's gorgeous creations! Next up is the fabulous Mercedes Weber!

Casing the Catalogue with Bloom and Grow | Be Inspired Blog Hop

Welcome Back to this month's Be Inspired Blog Hop. I am always so impressed by the talent of this group.

This month we are casing the Stampin' Up! catalogue. What does this mean? Simply put it means trying to re-create a project from the catalogue. Often this leads to inspiration and starts to get our creativity juices flowing.

For today's project I've decided to re-create a project found in the catalogue on page 156. I've used the floral image from the Bloom and Grow stamp to re-create this sweet card on the scalloped card bases.

Here's my take:

Don't you just love this design? I sure do and can't wait to use up the rest of my scalloped cards to create them!

Thanks for dropping by to check out my project today! But don't stop here, be sure to continue hopping! Up next, we have the incrediby talented Manuela Geiswinkler.

See you soon!

Merry Merlot | #tgif228

It's a colour challenge at TGIF Challenge Blog!

Gotta say this was hard for me! I am certainly not a vanilla girl. I am all whisper white. So just that fact made it particularly difficult.

But limitations definitely makes things easier. I only have so much product in those colous besides stamps and colouring tools.

And I know what you are thinking.... I am already started with Christmas and the Holiday Season...
... you better believe it baby!!
'Tis the Season!

Love, Cathy

Loving these penguins. | #tgif227

Well, its been awhile but I couldn't help myself...
I received my preorder for the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue!
As sick as I've been, I couldn't way to play with the TGIF Design Team!

I truly love these penguins and this Playful Penguins stamp set... Those three little guys are the star of the show! Meaning... It doesn't need much embellishment or colour to make a fabulous card!!  To add a little something, I stamped it on watercolour paper and heat embossed the images with clear embssing powder. This is a technique that I use frequently.

Be sure to play along with us this week showing how you heat emboss!

Embossing, Please! | Be Inspired Blog Hop

Well my friends, it hasn't been an easy pregnancy and the past few days has been filled with headaches, pink eyes and allergic reactions.

Yikes!

Since I didn't get to make a new project, I thought I'd share my projects that I created with Creative Scrapbooker Magazine last week! Be sure to check out their blog as you can find me the first monday of every month!

This above project has two types of embossing: Dry embossing using the Subtle Embossing Folder and also heat embossing where I use clear embossing powder to create a "lip" on stamped images making water colouring a breeze!

For now, I have to get myself better!
Be check to keep moving along to the amazing Brian King!
