Little Elephant | Stamp to Share International Blog Hop

Why hello my Sweets!

I am back this hop hopping along with some Stampin' Up! International All-Stars! Each month we select a product from the current Stampin' Up! catalogues in order to inspire you and get you creating.

This month, we have selected the ever so cute Little Elephant Bundle. It just so happens that cute is right up my alley and as such this was a must have item!

A couple days ago, I did a guest blog post featuring this set so be sure to hop over to this Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog post to check out those additional projects!

However, today's project was inspired by the colour scheme of the Stampin' Up! En Route product suite. You'll notice that my projects has several layers. I am counting 7 but who really can tell. So much dimension that I wonder if this project will ever fit in an envelope.... But all I say to that is #challengeaccepted

i just love all the babies | Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop

We are celebrating new life on the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop this month.

Just today my five year old son looked at me and said

"I just love all the babies. All the baby animals and all the little babies."

I am thinking that means all the little animal and human babies.

And I couldn't agree more.

PROJECT DETAILS://

Today's project uses A Little Wild Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!, as well as the co-ordinating dies. I water coloured the elephant using the Stampin' Write markers with the aqua painter. It's my favourite way of water colouring right now! I paired the designed with the Sale-a-Bration envelopes - there's only two more days to grab them!

I know, I know...

Now you want to go cuddle all the puppies and baby elephants. :)

"Boo. Boo. Butt." | #tgifc118

"Boo. Boo. Butt."

I know you think I have lost my mind but my kids favourite book is called "The Book With No Pictures". The book is basically making parents say funny things because the words are on the pages in the book. (It's the rule, it states.) And of course, there are no pictures. My kids think its hilarious especially when the reader has to say "Boo. Boo. Butt." It's a tasteful book, I promise... not always fun for the reader but most kids get a kick out of it.

So when I look at this stamp set A Little Wild by Stampin' Up!, I can't help but be reminded of this saying... and well, quite frankly... those little bums are too cute.

These little tags have a front and back - they were created with making little tags in mind. They have co-ordinating Little Loves Framelits. Totally awesome and totally easy.

This week I am back designing with the TGIF Challenge Blog design team. I have had my plate too full lately and haven't been able to join in as much as I'd like. This week's challenge is a 'Emboss Resist' technique.

What I'd like to say about this technique is not to over think it. "Emboss Resist" is something that I do regularly because I am often water colouring with my aqua painter. By heat embossing, the ink is resisting settling on the stamped lines plus the lines are slightly raised. It makes going outside the line very hard... It's brilliant!

In this particular tag, I heat embossed with black embossing powder and water coloured using my Stampin' Write markers. Obviously, there's not a lot more than that for this project. Add some powder pink ribbon and away you go.

... the world just got cuter | #tgifc99

Hi Friends!

This little Made With Love stamp set has been in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog since last year and I finally picked it up. I can't believe I've lived my love this love without it.

I continue to be drawn to simple one layer cards; however, I've been adding a "glow" and some more dimension.
